· SOUR DOUGH CLUB: Who enters here leaves hope behind
· Table de Hate: Scrambled eggs today, Scramble fer eggs tomorrow
· A La Carte: Breakfast, Mountain Scenery; Luncheon, Fresh Air; 5:00 Dinner, Nevada Sunset
· Baths 23rd Floor: Take Elevator
· Cooking Kid Chef, Missouri Kid Steward
· Victor-5 miles, Hercules-4 miles, HELL-Just Around the Corner
On May 2, 1908 the Wonder Mining News had this article:
BACHELORS GIVE A BRILLIANT BALL
"A forlorn group of lonely Wonder bachelors who are known to local fame as the 'Highbinders' were the hosts last Saturday night at whet they described on the program as 'Gastronomic Gyrations and Terpischprean Excercise.'"
A total of 15 women attended. 8 were married. That left only 7 eligable bachelorettes of various ages. The town was estimated to have about 750 citizens at this time!
